Dr Jeff Almon graduated from the University of Calgary in 2002 with a degree in Exercise Physiology. He was drafted into the CFL by the Calgary Stampeders in 2002 and played for the BC Lions during the 2003 season. He ended his professional football career upon his acceptance into the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College’s Doctor of Chiropractic program in 2004.

Since earning his DC in 2008, Dr Almon has consulted and treated numerous professional and olympic-level sports teams & athletes, including the Chinese National Speed Skating Team, PGA Tour golfers, Alpine Ski Ontario, FIVB volleyball athletes, the Vancouver Canucks development program, the Canadian Women's Soccer team, and professional sprint cyclists, to name a few.
Dr. Almon practices out of his Gastown clinic named MVMTLAB, where he treats athletes and the general active population alike, focusing on dynamic neuromuscular stabilization and neuroplasticity. Dr. CLAIRE KASSIAN, DC

Dr. Kassian graduated from the University of Alberta in 2006 where she studied Kinesiology. During her undergraduate degree she competed on the university track and field team as a sprinter. She was awarded a track scholarship, competed in Canada West, and her 400m-relay team competed at the national level. During this time Dr. Kassian was coaching high school track and field and taking her team to compete at provincials.
She then moved to the San Francisco Bay area to attend Life Chiropractic College West. Dr. Kassian graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctorate or Chiropractic. During her time at Life West she was also certified in Professional Applied Kinesiology and obtained her USA Level 1 Track and Field Coaching certification. Here she was also awarded the NCMIC scholarship. After completing her training, Dr. Kassian is now certified to practice in both Canada and the United States.
With her love for being active and competitive, Dr. Kassian uses multiple approaches when it comes to treating patients. She combines spinal adjustments, myofascial release technique, postural correction, and trigger point release, to address various injuries. Dr. Kassian has a strong passion for spinal decompression and uses it daily to treat disc herniations, spinal stenosis, sciatica, migraines, and other spinal ailments. She takes a holistic approach to health and thrives in a multidisciplinary practice, where finding the right treatment that best suites ones needs is the first priority!

ADRIAN WALLACE, B.Kin., DOMP

Adrian Wallace is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, EXOS Performance Specialist and an FRC Mobility Specialist.
He attended the University of British Columbia and earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, consisting of an extensive curriculum in functional anatomy, biomechanics, neurology and sports injuries. In his first year, Adrian rowed on the UBC Developmental Rowing Team and earned a first place medal at the Head of the Fraser Fours Regatta.
Upon being promoted to the Junior Varsity team, Adrian made the switch from being an athlete to becoming an Athletic Trainer. He was selected by the UBC Therapy Staff, and worked with the UBC Women's Soccer Team for 3 years. In his final year with team, he assisted the Thunderbirds in winning the 2015 CIS National Championship, their first championship since 2006. Additionally, Adrian spent 2 years as a student Strength & Conditioning Coach, under Joe McCullum the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Thunderbirds. During this time, Adrian worked with multiple UBC Varsity teams including Men's and Women's Basketball, Field Hockey, Soccer, Rowing, Swimming, Volleyball,Track & Field, Football, Men's Rugby and Men's Hockey.
Adrian also works as a private personal trainer, with experience working with Tennis BC & Tennis Canada Developmental Athletes, BCPBL athletes, an NHL athlete, and actors from Once Upon a Time, iZombie, Live Like Line, Ice and Imposters.
Adrian obtained a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the National Academy of Osteopathy, where he became well-versed in Osteopathic Mobilization Techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques, Soft Tissue Therapy, as well as Sacral-Cranial and Visceral techniques.
Adrian believes the body is a unit and has an innate ability to heal itself. In his treatments, he seeks out what may be impeding this natural ability through a mixture of reactive muscle testing, static joint play, range of motion and movement assessment. Once identified Adrian utilizes techniques ranging from gentle osteopathic modalities to trigger points to reduce pain. He then calls from his athletic performance background to give his patients the tools to take control of their own treatment plan.

Alyssa started her post-secondary education earning a Bachelors of Science and a Minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 2013. She then completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.
Alyssa grew up in Deep Cove, North Vancouver, where she had plenty of access to all things outdoors but her passion was for Ski Racing. Alyssa competed as a member of the Whistler Blackcomb’s FIS Alpine Ski Team until she stopped to focus on her University Academics. Currently you can still find her enjoying skiing, running, hiking, paddle boarding and CrossFit on her free time.
Combining her love of athletics and academics with her passion for quality health care, she will work with you to discover the root cause of your injury. She combines manual therapy with tailored recommended exercises, education and a multitude of evidence based practices to correct imbalances and provide the tools to keep you healthy and injury free.
In the clinic, expect Alyssa to use manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization and soft tissue release techniques paired with progressive and tailored exercises.

CAROLANE CHEVRIER, MPT

Carolane is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC). She graduated from the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec) with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, after obtaining her Bachelor in Health Sciences.
Since the beginning of her studies, Carolane has shown a strong interest for pelvic floor rehabilitation and women’s health, as well as for sport injuries and orthopaedic rehab. She has also been working with junior & semi-pro hockey and football teams for three years.
Carolane is passionate about sports in general; she played hockey for 11 years and is an adept hiker, weightlifter, yogi, biker and runner.
Her approach is centered on the patients and their goals: she will use her expertise to provide patients the best necessary tools to improve their health and to guide them through their journey to better wellness!

Dana’s approach to massage therapy is thorough, intuitive, and based on a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and effective treatment techniques. She works with clients to build body awareness by acknowledging the connection between mind and body. DEAN DISANJH, RMT

Dean's philosophy is that every patient should walk away with a firm understanding of their pain and how to properly overcome it. His drive comes from seeing people return to doing what they love. Dean is a graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy program from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, though his learning didn't stop there. He continues to further his education with keeping up to date on the latest research in treatment and rehabilitation.
Before becoming an RMT, Dean received his BCRPA certificate in personal training. This pursuit developed from his love for training and competing in Olympic Weightlifting. Through personal training, he was able to work with people on an individual basis to help them reach their goals and improve their quality of life.
Dean's approach to massage therapy incorporates a variety of manual therapy techniques combined with active rehab that is focused on getting you better as fast as possible.

Laura Bestow, B.Sc., RMT

Laura is a lifelong athlete. She started out as a gymnast and then a junior gymnastics coach, and transitioned to track & cross country running in her early teens.
Laura competed in the 1500m, 3000m and cross country at National & International level in the UK and Europe, whilst completing her BSc in Human Biology at The University of Birmingham. After graduating in 2007, she obtained a Swedish Massage Diploma at West Cheshire College.
She competed in mountain running in Canada and the UK, ranking in the top 10 in the UK Mountain Running Challenge Series and winning the BC Provincial Mountain Running Championships in 2013 and 2014. She has achieved many top 10 finishes in the Canadian Mountain Running Championships, including a qualifying spot for Team Canada in the World Mountain Running Championships in 2016, which she unfortunately had to turn down.
She first experienced BC in 2007 when she lived at Sun Peaks and subsequently in Whistler. She immediately discovered a love of mountain life, embracing mountain running, snowboarding and downhill mountain biking. Over the past 10 years, Laura has moved between mountain towns in BC and her UK home, close to the North Wales mountains.
Most recently, Laura graduated with Honours from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. She currently lives in Vancouver , and when not working at MVMTLAB, you can find her running all around town and the North Shore mountains!
She enjoys treating people from all walks of life with a combination of manual treatment, assisted stretching and home care exercises.
Laura uses a mixture of fascial and deep tissue techniques with assisted stretching for her athlete clients, but she also enjoys using lighter Swedish massage and craniosacral techniques for more relaxing treatments.
